What do we do now? That’s been the League of Women Voters of Maryland's number one asked question since the 2024 Elections. The answer is simple: Empower Voters and Defend Democracy. Now more than ever, the League’s work is critical to preserving our democracy and putting Maryland voters and the issues at the center of the work. LWVMD cannot do this alone. We are asking for your help to ensure that factual, nonpartisan resources stay available to all of Maryland.

LWVMD is the only nonpartisan organization in Maryland that has you, the voter, at the core of its mission. The League’s grassroots work is designed to provide the information you need and support the policies that you want. Please include LWVMD in your year-end giving. In 2025, LWVMD will provide:

• Advocacy that works on policies that protect you from D.C. as much as possible. In 2025, LWVMD will advocate for those issues that could affect your life and are most at risk. 
• Virtual workshops to learn about and discuss the most pressing topics from credible and knowledgeable speakers. Workshops are open to everyone, members, and non-members.
• Development of the trusted Voter’s Guide to serve a growing and diverse community. Every election cycle, LWVMD distributes more guides, both virtually and in print form. We strive to make it more accessible to all voters. LWVMD’s Voter’s Guide is always free.

2025 is not the year to become complacent, and Marylanders deserve fair representation and a strong organization that will always defend them. The League is the only organization that puts you at the center of our work: fighting for voters, helping you work with your elected officials, and giving everyone a voice.
