Winter Workshop 2016

Come learn with us!

The League's Winter Workshop will feature two concurrent workshops:

  • Using the new web-site to communicate; and
  • How to do a Presentation on Redistricting Reform in your Community.

Our Luncheon Speaker will be Adar Ayira who has, for the past 8 years, worked as the Director of Programs, guiding Associated Black Charities’ "More in the Middle" Initiative. Through its “More in the Middle” Initiative, ABC’s goal is to facilitate closure of health and wealth gaps and a more robust economy for all who live and work in Maryland by increasing access and opportunity for African American and other communities of color.

Prior to her tenure with ABC, Adar was principal consultant at Core Concepts, a nonprofit-specialist consulting firm that provided skills development, technical assistance, organizational and program development, technical assistance for community organizers, executive director coaching, and project management.  She studies the historical development, manifestations, and trends around the “ism” issues in American society. She is also a co-founding member of Baltimore Racial Justice Action, where she is also a Senior Facilitator/Trainer and Board member.
