The League of Women Voters promotes political responsibility and active participation in the affairs of government. The League observes, monitors, studies, discusses, educates, lobbies and testifies on issues of local, state and national import. Join us for a satisfying experience as part of a unique volunteer, nonpartisan, grassroots and multi-issue organization whose goals and objectives are to MAKE DEMOCRACY WORK. If you are a resident of Caroline, Dorchester, or Talbot County on Maryland's Eastern Shore, this is the League for you!
What your annual dues provide: Membership in League of Women Voters of the Mid-Shore of Maryland (LWVMS), League of Women Voters of Maryland (LWVMD) and League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS). League membership is open to all persons aged 16 and older who subscribe to the policies and principles of the LWV. The LWVMS membership year runs from May 1 through April 30.
To join online as an individual member, please select $52.00 (includes $2.00 credit card processing fee).
To join online as a household (two members at the same address), please select $82.75 (includes $2.75 credit card processing fee). Please be sure to provide information about the second member in the form below.

General support: You may choose to "round up" or make a contribution to LWVMS in excess of dues. Your support of our League's general operating expenses is greatly appreciated. However, the basic dues are all that is necessary, and your participation is our primary goal. Please note that membership dues and contributions to LWVMS are NOT tax-deductible
Students: LWVMS waives annual membership dues for students who are enrolled, full-time or part-time, in an accredited institution. Please click here to apply for student membership.
