The Cosmos Club has a long list of past and present distinguished members. One of the Club's goals is "the advancement of its members in science, literature and art".
The Townsend House, where the club is located, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

After Ms. Tumulty has a chance to speak and answer questions, our hosts will provide an optional tour of the historic Townsend House. In addition, the Phillips Collection is nearby and open on Saturdays until 5 p.m. for those who wish to tour that gallery on their own.
