To celebrate 100 years of women voting, Anne Arundel County Public Libraries and the League of Women Voters of Anne Arundel County will host a screening of Iron Jawed Angels.The film is a moving tribute to the suffragists who worked tirelessly for passage of the 19th Amendment granting American women the right to vote. Not a documentary, this award-winning HBO production dramatizes the final decade of a 70 year battle, led by the younger Alice Paul (Hilary Swank), Lucy Burns (Frances O’Connor), and the elder activist Carrie Catt (Anjelica Houston).
