Election Process Affordable Housing Equality of Opportunity

In 2005, nine LLs submitted a variety of interesting issues for study in the coming biennium. The Board discussed at length the program process, League members' familiarity with program positions, and the integration of local, state and national programs. The most frequently recommended items for study were Election Process and Affordable Housing, both of which have extensive policy positions already.  So the Board is recommending the adoption of a slightly different approach to those two items on the program, one that combines study and action. The third item, Equality of Opportunity, is new and will be studied.

State committees are made up of LL representatives. Distance is not a problem as, increasingly, work is shared through email. Anyone interested in working on a committee should contact its chair.
