MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Membership is open to everyone. One of the following options should be suitable for you.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

• Voting Membership
  Available to any US citizen, male or female, who is at least 18 years of age
• Non-Voting Associate Membership
  Available to non-citizens or to persons who are younger than 18

LEAGUES YOU CAN JOIN

• Local Leagues
  In Maryland, eighteen counties and the city of Baltimore have active Local Leagues. All members of local leagues in Maryland are also automatically members of the LWV of Maryland and the LWV of the United States.
• Member-at-Large in LWVMD
  Available for those who reside in an area not currently serviced by a local league (Charles, Cecil, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties). These individuals are serviced by and participate in activities of the Maryland State league. They are also members of the LWV of the United States, and they may participate in activities of Local Leagues.
