 Board of Education
     The Board of Education has five members: one At-Large Member and four District Members. Each of the five members is elected by all voters in the county; it is a non-partisan position.  A District Member must reside in his or her County District; the At-LargeMember may reside anywhere in the county.
     Districts 1 and 3 are up for election during gubernatorial elections years; Districts 2 and 4 and the at-large District are up for election during presidential election years.

Commissioner
     St. Mary's County has five commisioners: the President and four District Commisioners.  Each of the five commissioners is elected by all voters in the county.  The president may reside anywhere in the county, but a District Commissioner must reside in his or her County District.  The next election of county commissioners is in 2006.
