LWVMD Membership Form

Thank you for your interest in joining the League of Women Voters!

Membership in any local LWV includes membership in LWV of Maryland and membership in LWV of the United States.

To join the LWV, please fill out this form and click SUBMIT. Items marked with a * are required. Other items you may leave blank if you wish.

Residents of Allegany, Carroll, Charles, Cecil, Garrett, Somerset, Worcester, or Wicomico Counties become Members-at-Large of the LWV of Maryland, unless they choose to join a nearby League. They are encouraged to participate in all state and national events and in events of other local Leagues until a LWV is started in their home county.  (If you live in another county, please find your county in the list at the very bottom of this page and then use its membership form.)

State dues are $50 for individuals and $23 for each additional member at the same address. Local Leagues each set their own dues; they range from $40 to $65. After you submit this form, the League you select below will send you a packet with membership information and you may mail in a check at that time. Click here to join LWVMD as an At-Large Member.

Be a part of making your community better; be a part of League!

We encourage everyone to join as a member and contribute time, talents, and enthusiasm. There are also many other ways you can support the work of the League of Women Voters.

To Make a Donation

Individuals can make financial or in-kind contributions (such as providing printing services) directly to the League of Women Voters. Because of our lobbying activities, the League is a 501(c)(4) organization under the Internal Revenue Tax Code, and contributions directly to LWV are not tax-deductible. However, contributions to the LWVMD Education Fund are deductible.

Individuals can make financial contributions directly to the League of Women Voters of Maryland Education Fund, which is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Contributions to the EdFund are tax-deductible because they are used solely for educational and informational projects.

Or, make a donation directly to our operating General Fund!

If you choose to support our work by check, it should be made out to LWVMD then mailed to the address below. For more information about opportunities to support the League at the State level, please contact us either by mail, phone, or email at:
