The League of Women Voters of Howard County supports Ho.Co.7-07, which would allow Howard County to submit its financial report with the State Department of Legislative Services on December1 instead of the current requirement to file the report on November1.

The voters of Howard County in the 2006 General Election passed Question A with a 72% favorable vote. Question A, proposed to amended the Howard County Charter, Section 212, to allow the County Auditor to submit the County's financial audit on November 30. It is appropriate to submit to the state the County's annual financial report after the submission of the County financial audit.

The League urges the Delegation's favorable consideration of this legislation.
