Chairman Ball and members of the County Council:

The League of Women Voters of Howard County supports Resolution 92-2007 approving the rehabilitation of the Stevens Forest housing development in Columbia. The League supports adequate housing choices in suitable living environments within the economic reach of all persons of all ages. The League also supports measures of public financial assistance to rehabilitate existing housing.

The Steven Forest Apartments are 108 units that have provided housing for low or limited income families in Howard County. Tax -exempt bonds and Housing Tax Credits provide the major portion of the funding that will provide for the rehabilitation of the garden apartment units.

The League urges support for Resolution 92-2007.
