Remarks to County Executive Ulman July 25, 2007 Oakland Mills High School First of all, on behalf of the League, I wish to thank you for the green building initiative you have introduced. As you know, we strongly support this legislation. The League is also interested . . . actually at this point we are CONCERNED, about when an Executive Director will be appointed to the Howard County Revenue Authority, whose Board of Directors was appointed last October. Finally, we are still concerned about the lack of agendas being available to the public prior to meetings of quasi-government boards / agencies such as Housing and Community Development and the Economic Development Authority. We would like to see such information publicized at least five days prior to each meeting, realizing full well that changes could be made as late as the start of the meeting when the Agenda would be approved. As always, we very much appreciate your willingness to make yourself and your staff available to listen to the citizens of Howard County. Thank you for this opportunity.
