Participate in LWVUS Program Planning

Every two years, state and local Leagues and ILOs participate in the LWVUS Program Planning process by making recommendations concerning program issues. The Program Planning process is an important League tool for identifying issues for study and maintaining our grassroots tradition. To find out more about the process type Program Planning in the little white search box on the top right side of the LWVUS home page which can be found at http://www.lwv.org. When you click enter, you will be taken to a list of items about program planning. Click on #13 on the list. You will find information about submitting your response through a mail-in form or the soon-to-come online submission form before the March 1 deadline. You can also join the On-Line Discussion List at this site to discuss and/or promote national issues for LWVUS Program Planning prior to Convention 2008. Waiting until Convention to gather support for issues often results in limited discussion and incomplete information. Furthermore, raising issues at Convention instead of through the Program Planning process dilutes the voices of Leagues that do participate in the process. We encourage all Leagues to participate in the formal Program Planning process early.
