- Workshop 1 – Global Climate Change
Climate Change--a global view, including the scientific explanation, the status today, predictions, what can be done, and a discussion of the ethical implications.
Workshop 2 – League Communications in the 21st Century
How to use our League website email system
Workshop 3 – Local League Treasurers
Nuts and bolts of a League's finances: treasurer's reports, yearly tax returns, corporate status, when to use Ed Fund money versus when to use League money, and more.
12:00 – 1:30 Lunch
During the lunch period, we will hear from LWVMD reporters from Report from State Circle reporting on what's happening and what's expected in Annapolis in the 2008 General Assembly Session.
Directions: From the North: Take Rt. 29 south to Columbia Town Center exit (Little Patuxent Pkwy). Bear right onto Gov. Warfield Pkwy. Take 2nd right onto Twin Rivers Rd. At first light turn left onto Trumpeter Rd. Interfaith Center will be on your right.
From the South: Take Rt. 29 north to Broken Land Pkwy. Follow it West through 3 traffic lights to Twin Rivers Rd and turn left onto it. Follow Twin Rivers Rd to 2nd light and turn left onto Trumpeter Rd. The Interfaith Center will be on your right.
