A three-part conversation to explore the impact that women are making on the political discussion and landscape in our country is being sponsored by LWVUS and the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum continues in Washington.
Entitled "The Changing Faces of Power", each panel in the series features authorities on gender issues, women who have valuable experience in the roles being examined, and experts who monitor political trends. The series includes historical context and current information to present a full picture of women’s political activism and leadership.
Author and political commentator Eleanor Clift will moderate each forum.
This second event will be held , February 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, 144 Constitution Avenue NE (corner of 2nd and Constitution NE). Baltimore City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will be one of the panelists.
The third forum is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, on “Women As Voters and Activists”.
The series, which is free and open to the public, is made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Barbara Lee Family Foundation, with additional support from Kraft Foods.
